Prototype accuracy is reviewed against the part drawing and its functional interfaces. Equipment specifications are reference points only; final part tolerance depends on geometry, material, size, workholding, datums, and any post-machining finish.

STEP or STP is preferred for 3D geometry. Include a dimensioned PDF drawing with datums, critical tolerances, threads, surface finish, and revision information.
DWG, DXF, IGES, IGS, and Parasolid files can also be reviewed. If the model and drawing differ, identify which file controls the released design.
State the material or acceptable alternatives, heat treatment, anodizing, etching, laser engraving, painting, dyeing, assembly, and cosmetic requirements.
Provide the CAD file, drawing, quantity, material, finish, tolerance, and required delivery date.

After machining and any agreed finishing, the parts are checked against the project requirements before packing and shipment.
Rapid CNC prototyping does not have one fixed turnaround for every design. Timing varies with part complexity, material availability, quantity, inspection requirements, finishing, and assembly. The confirmed lead time is provided after the drawing review. Include your target date in the RFQ so urgent prototype requirements can be assessed before production starts.
